BPS Books is a new division of Bastian Publishing Services Ltd. It is a print-on-demand publishing program that distributes books in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
Here’s how it works:
- Some books published by BPS Books are published traditionally, at the publisher's expense, with the author paid a royalty on sales.
- Most books on the list are edited and produced, on a fee basis, by Donald G. Bastian of Bastian Publishing Services Ltd, in which case BPS Books takes a percentage of net revenue on sales only after sales of the book have recouped the author’s expenses in having the book edited, produced, and distributed.
- BPS Books works with the POD printer, Lightning Source, and the world’s biggest book distributor, Ingram.
- Books are available for sale to bookstores and to individuals via the major bookseller websites in Canada, the US, and UK, such as amazon.com, borders.com, and barnesandnoble.com.
- Authors can purchase their books on a cost-plus basis.
- Ideal for speakers, who can easily order copies to be delivered to the sites where they are speaking anywhere in the world without having to pack boxes, clear customs, etc.
